CHÂTEAU GUADET PLAISANCE : MONTAGNE SAINT-EMILION This is an undulating land of silts, clays and Gironde gravel covered with serried ranks of vines. The wines are naturally voluptuous with a rich flavour. They need to be nurtured and matured. The soils are light and airy and paradoxically, the art here is to prevent the wine becoming too rich. Some old cabernet-sauvignon vines are there to reassure. |
